Objectives

  • To provide mental, emotional and social stimulation through planned monthly excursions to local art galleries, cultural organizations and museums accompanied by a creative activity or workshop inspired by the visit.
  • To develop volunteerism among seniors
  • To support the arts community in Scarborough

Guild Park & Gardens

Guild Park and Gardens is a public park in the Scarborough district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The park was formerly the site of an artist colony and is notable for its collection of relics saved from the demolition of buildings primarily in downtown Toronto arranged akin to ancient ruins.

West Rouge Community Centre

West Rouge Community Centre has a long history in East Scarborough. The building was the clubhouse for a former golf course. Now being apart of the City of Toronto, the Community Centre is prime site for rental use of the Ballroom which is used for wedding receptions, preteen dances, special events and for recreation programming.

Established in 1978, and located on the edge of the picturesque Rouge Valley, Toronto Maha Vihara today is not only an outstanding landmark, but also a monument to the vision and conviction of the early pioneers of the Sri Lankan expatriate Buddhist community in the Greater Toronto Area. It is the first Theravada Buddhist Temple in Canada and is administered by Toronto Mahavihara Society, a registered Charity Organization.
