About Afiya
Afiya means health and well-being, drawn from Swahili and Arabic origins. This name represents our commitment to culturally grounded, community-led care. Afiya is an initiative under the Black Health Action Plan that focuses on promoting health literacy, preventive care, mental wellness, and reducing disparities in Black communities in Scarborough.
