A Gift To Remember

Join SCHC for our annual year-end holiday campaign called A Gift to Remember, where staff, clients, and various members of the community come together to help support those in need by providing them with essentials (food) and gifts while lifting their holiday cheer and spirits!
The Purpose
Your support for A Gift to Remember makes a real difference for families in need, especially during the holiday season.
Here are some statistics from 2024 about SCHC’s Food Bank and Scarborough:

These numbers reflect a deepening crisis in our community, where families are increasingly forced to choose between rent, utilities, and food. Now, more than ever, we need your help to continue this important work. Your contributions can light up lives and foster joy in our community. Please consider donating today and join us in making a lasting impact this season!
The Impact
Find out how your donation makes an impact in Scarborough.
“As a single mom of three who moved to Scarborough four years ago, it hasn’t always been easy. The Gift to Remember program made the holidays so special — from the new jackets to the toys and gift cards, it was such a relief.”
The Ask
As part of our A Gift to Remember campaign, we’re working toward a goal of $75,000 by December 31, 2025 to ensure no family goes hungry this holiday season. Food remains at the heart of our mission, and every dollar donated helps stock shelves, fill plates, and restore a sense of security.
