RED DRESS Community Walk
May 9, 2025 @ 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Red Dress Day is a day observed annually on May 5 to raise awareness about Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2-Spirit (MMIWG2S+) individuals across North America. This day was inspired by a powerful public art installation by Métis artist Jaime Black, who hung red dresses in public spaces to represent the lives of those who are missing or have been lost.
Â
The Mind & Spirit Youth Leadership (MSYL) Committee at SCHC invites you to join us for a Red Dress Community Walk which is a chance to raise awareness, honour the memory of those taken, and stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities.
