About Dr.Latif Murji
Dr. Latif Murji is a family and ER physician, based at SCHC. Dr. Murji is the founder of the widely acclaimed VaxFacts+ Clinic, a ground-breaking initiative that addresses vaccine hesitancy through physician-led phone conversations, and has now broadened its scope to include cancer screening. His work with VaxFacts has garnered national media attention and serves as a blueprint for engaging communities in health literacy. Dr. Murji is a Lecturer at the University of Toronto, where he has created a novel health equity curriculum for resident physicians, based on the tenets of experiential and transformative pedagogy. He is the founder of the not-for-profit organization Stand Up for Health, which delivers immersive learning experiences to train healthcare workers in health equity and advocacy. By night, Dr. Murji showcases his artistic flair as the lead vocalist of the indie-alt-rock band, Parachute Thieves.
