Family Wellbeing Program
About this Program
Funded by the City of Toronto the Family Wellbeing pilot program applies a holistic approach to support parents, caregivers, and extended family members that support Scarborough’s most vulnerable youth to better navigate and connect with services and pro-social opportunities in their communities.
We aim to provide resources, services, and activities that promote positive family dynamics, enhance individual and collective health, and strengthen community
bonds.
Our Goals
- Increase awareness of potential risk and protective factors for youth violence
- Improve education of prevention and intervention programs and support services
- Support in navigating systems to increase utilization and collaboration
Eligibility
Parents, guardians, caregivers, families, and communities of youth (ages 10 to 29) most vulnerable to involvement in crime and violence (gun and gangs) in Scarborough our focus neighbourhoods are Cedarbrae-Woburn, Morningside, West Hill, Golfdale, and Eglinton East.
We are happy to make refers to those, not in our catchment.
