Ways to Give
At SCHC, we understand that sustainable resource development is based on good relationships and mutual concern for our community. In addition to raising the funds required for addressing our community’s needs, we place an emphasis on utilizing the expertise of our donors, engaging them in our programs and seeking out their advice in our planning processes. As a result, we’ve created a number of ways for our donors and potential donors to connect and contribute! For any of the giving opportunities below, you can safely donate online here or download the online donation form and mail or email to:

One-Time Gifts
We value your generosity no matter the size or frequency of your donations. Donate here through our encrypted and secure online platform. You can also mail us a cheque: Unit 2, 629 Markham Rd. Scarborough, ON M1H 2A4.
Monthly Donations
As a monthly donor, you will be able to support us throughout the year by making comfortable monthly contributions. Monthly donation commitments help programs plan ahead and provide peace of mind for sustainability of SCHC services.
Giving in Celebration
Instead of gifts to each other, many choose to make a tribute gift in honour of a loved one or to mark a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary or promotion.
In Memory Gifts
Making an in memory gift is a heartfelt and lasting way of recognizing someone who has passed whether that be a deceased family member, friend or colleague.
Host an Event in Support of SCHC
When you start fundraising for SCHC today, you’ll be helping more than 25,000 families to access health services and community programs. Your event can be as elaborate or as modest as you’d like! Check out the Third Party Event Toolkit to help you get started.
In-Kind Donations
Goods for the SCHC Food and Furniture Bank
SCHC accepts and distributes donated goods to thousands of clients across our 40 programs. Donated goods, also known as in-kind gifts, are items such as new or gently used clothing, furniture, children’s toys, non-perishable food, or any other non-monetary items. If you are looking to donate furniture, food, clothing or basic essentials please use the following links to get contact information for the SCHC Food and Furniture Banks.
Bulk In-Kind Donations
If you would like to help us by purchasing or donating SCHC-approved wholesale supplies in bulk, at approximately one-third (1/3) the cost of buying them at retail, please reach out to our wholesale partners, the Bargains Group. Not only will you get the best value and be able to provide us with our most needed essential supplies, but they will also include free donations for every purchase from their Full Circle Donation Program.

Wishlist
Many want to know our most needed supplies. This is why we’ve included a “wish list” so you can make a meaningful donation and receive a tax receipt. If you want more information on how best to contribute, please contact fundraising@schcontario.ca.
Giving at Work
Many companies support charitable organizations through payroll deductions. These gifts are deducted directly from your paycheque. If you are interested in supporting SCHC in this manner, contact your Human Resources Department to inquire if your company offers this giving opportunity. If you are already giving through United Way, consider selecting Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities as your featured organization.
Another option is for team building activities that give back. If you would like to donate hygiene items, winter warmth supplies, personal care supplies, socks, underwear or Healthy Community Care Kits and want to make it a team project, please contact our wholesale supply partner The Bargains Group, where your money will go further. They’ll include extra donations as well! Or contact our Coordinator of Volunteer Engagement at volunteerprogram@schcontario.ca
