Fall/Winter Programs Offered:

Girls Leadership Through Resilience (GLTR)

Youth-led girls group that creates a safe space for girls ages 13 – 18 to share and discuss issues affecting their daily lives and how to overcome them with their strengths.

Healthy ARTS (HARTS)

Arts and crafts program for children ages 6-10. Children learn how to express themselves through the therapeutic benefits of art.

Limitless Youth Fitness Training (LYFT)

Free youth group fitness classes for youth ages 13 -21. Program is led by certified personal trainer.

Youth Drop In

Weekly program that provides a safe space for youth ages 13 – 18 to interact with staff and their peers in positive and meaningful ways. Youth pick from an array of activities such as: documentaries, movies, board games, cards and group discussions.

Deep Talks

Social support program that provides a safe space for boys ages 13 – 18 to discuss issues and challenges they face in meaningful and solution focused dialogue.

Cooking for Healthy Eating & Fitness (CHEF)

Healthy cooking class for youth ages 12 – 21 where participants get to learn fun, new and nutritious recipes and practice cooking delicious meals on a weekly basis. Please see program calendar for details.

Mind and Spirit Youth Leadership (MSYL)

Youth Health Committee dedicated to bringing young individuals ages 13 – 18 together to plan and implement community health programs for children and youth. Accepting new members this Spring. Please contact staff below for all related inquiries.

EKHO

Youth form a health promotion committee that creates health and wellness campaigns on social media platforms

Reaching Healthy Youth Through Healthy Movement (RHYTHM)

Free children’s dance program that teaches children ages 6-10 years old choreography and physical literacy skills.

Neighbourhood Games

In partnership with Right to Play, youth ages 13-18 are trained to lead and facilitate recreational activities for children ages 6 – 12 years old.

FOCUS

Youth photography program where participants learn how to enhance their photo and video skills and “focus” on highlighting positive aspects of their community.

Summer:

Growing Leadership

Leadership offers 6 weeks of summer fun for youth ages 12-18! The program emphasis on teaching youth leadership skills through giving back to their community in the form of community clean ups, community gardening and leading their favourite neighborhood games for their peers. *Due to COVID-19 the program will be offered for four weeks with virtual options*

Youth Entrepreneurship Partnership Project (YEPP)

A mentorship with workshop series for youth ages 16 to 24 interested in starting their own business.

Activity Zone

Children program for ages 6 – 12 where participants play team building, social skills and leadership activities with youth leaders.

Step By Step

Community walking club for youth ages 13 & up. For individuals who enjoy taking nature walks in local trails and parks. Programs focuses on physical activity, connection with nature and mindfulness. Program takes place in green spaces near the Hub Mid Scarborough. Please see program calendar for details.

Gardening to Revitalize Outdoor Wellness (GROW)

Youth gardening program that involves youth to be hands on in Youth gardening program that involves youth to be hands on in supporting their community through cleaning and building up community gardens and green spaces.
